After hopefully spending the last week reflecting on the hope we have in Christ and because of Christ we come to the second candle of Advent. It is the candle of Peace. This is the peace foretold by the prophet Isaiah “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his  shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6). But in John is where we truly find out what Christ is offering us.  “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)

So peace can be ours when we find ourselves truly resting in Christ and all He offers us in this world and beyond. Be blessed this week and continue to seek for the peace in Christ-you will not be disappointed.
